A dream destination
Bhutan is no ordinary place. It is the last great Himalayan kingdom, shrouded in mystery and magic. It was restricted to all outsiders until recent years. This is a place of Buddhism where Tibetan culture fully remains, and where they do not speak about the gross national product, but rather about gross national happiness. What is not only a slogan … but it is a ‘living’ institute.
This Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge is known for its monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs) and the amazing Himalayan landscape, where snow-capped peaks rise above shadowy gorges cloaked in primeval forests.
Vist the valleys of Thimphu, Paro, Punakha, Wangduephodrang, Gangtey Phobjikha, Trongsa, and Bumthang. In these townships you can really discover the spirit of Bhutan. Don’t miss Tiger’s nest, the mystical place of Padmasbhava or local festivals with their cham dances. There are the textiles and handicrafts, outrageous archery competitions, high-altitude trekking trails, and stunning flora and fauna.
As of 2016 we work together with Tshering Yangzom to offer you travels to this dream destination. Tshering is a Bhutanese sharing a mutual dream: organizing travels to bring people in contact with the Buddhist culture.
