We take you to a magical land, where the nature is breathtaking.

To spend time in this wonderful surrounding is already a healing on itself.

We will travel with the Jeep to our first retreat center in Nagarkhot.
On our way we make a stop in one of the most beautiful ancient cities of Nepal, Bhaktapur, one of the three king cities.
We will make here a walk of two hours, where we explore the ancient old temples but also in streets where we see the local live.
Bhaktapur is famous for his pottery and woodcarvers.
We will see on the street how they make everything with the hand – many products are sold all over the world.

Bhaktapur was also used many times as filmset. It is as you are going back in time and wander around the old temples of Nepal.
We will have our lunch here in a restaurant where we have a view on the open-air film set.

After our lunch we will take the jeep to go further up in the mountains, on the way we make a last stop in one of the oldest temples, Changu Narayan.

After our visit we will drive to our beautiful hotel where we stay three nights.

The first part of the retreat we will spend around a view place of the Everest Region.
It is one of the best spots to see the Everest (sunrise and sunset).
We will stay three days in a hotel here, from where you have from your room a view of the Everest Range.
Here our focus will be Mindfulness. We make time to become more acquainted with the method of calm-abiding the mind meditation.
And we are doing all kinds of practices in the beautiful nature, to integrate the mindfulness in daily life.
The area is the best place to that, because our hotel is lying all alone in a forest.
So the nature will help us to contact with our inner peace.

During our Mindful walking around this will bring us even more in contact with ourselves and the beautiful nature.

We also make  yoga and meditation sessions in the surrounding of the hotel.
Connected with the nature.

In this first part of our retreat we will have the opportunity to see three sunsets and sunrises on the Everest Range.

To see the sun come up on the highest snow mountains in the world is a magical moment.

After these 3-days we will travel to another retreat center.
For people who like to walk we will give guidance to six hours walking that will take us through many small villages, where you can observe local live.

There is also a possibility to travel with the jeep from our hotel to our retreat center.
It is an authentic Nepali style retreat center with a view on the Himalayas.
Here we will explore with the Lo Jong, compassion method, where self-love and a healthy relationship with others are central in this method.

We will stay here for 3 days.

This retreat center is within walking distance of a famous Tibetan monastery where you can go and wonder around whenever you wish.

On the way back from the retreat to Kathmandu we will make a stop at Pashupatinath, the most holy place for the Hindus where they to the cremations.

As we will have seen in the monastery we visit around Namo Buddha, death is an important event in Buddhist teachings.
Also in daily life of the Nepali, death is part of life.
We will take time to observe the rituals.

And see all the nice temples that are built around the place.
We will take an easy walking of 45 minutes through the small streets of Kathmandu.
back to the Bouddhanath Stupa.
Our walk will lead us through the small streets where we can observe the daily lives of the people of Kathmandu.

We end, and begin, our trip with an evening diner on a roof terrace around the magical Bouddhanath.

For me one of the most beautiful, serene places in Nepal.

If you want to extend your trip with a trekking, culture or nature visit in the Himalaya areas, we are happy to assist you.
